What are the principles of resource classroom construction?

(1) Personnel -- Implement relevant teacher establishment

A resource classroom should have 1-3 resource teachers; Resource teachers must have good educational accomplishment; Resource teachers should be trained on the job; The selection of resource teachers must be relatively stable, and unless there are no major problems or serious incompetence, they are generally not replaced, so as to ensure the accumulation of professional experience and the formation of basic professional competence.

(2) Resources - to provide professional support

In the construction of resource classrooms, sufficient funds must be left for the purchase of various education, teaching resources and rehabilitation training resources. At the same time, efforts are made to organize experienced teachers and special education workers to collect, organize and develop various educational resources. On the one hand, we must ensure that the quantity of resources can meet the needs, on the other hand, we must pay attention to the quality and ensure the effectiveness and safety of resources.

Resources can be divided into paper resources and online electronic resources, the former including special education related books, journals and magazines, student teaching and rehabilitation related documents and materials, the latter including teaching and rehabilitation audio and video, electronic courseware, related educational software and so on.

(3) Mechanism - to promote reasonable and standardized operation

Once the resource classroom is built, it is necessary to fully provide special education and related services for the students with special education needs in the school, such as: formulating the operation plan of the resource classroom, making work plans, arranging schedules, etc., and having fixed work procedures and contents to avoid randomness and temporality.

(4) Functional zoning of resource classrooms

According to the relevant provisions of the General Office of the Ministry of Education in the Guidelines for the Construction of special Education Resource Classrooms in ordinary Schools, combined with the actual needs of the construction of resource classrooms, the functional zoning of resource classrooms can be divided into five areas: parent reception area, teacher office area, academic counseling area, rehabilitation training area, and psychological support area. Each region undertakes different educational and teaching functions.
